Over the past 25 years, Intersolve has grown exponentially into a successful technology driven company in gift cards, loyalty, and payments serving over 500 brands and processing more than 1.9 billion euros value per year in prepaid cards and wallets accessible via 200K+ online and offline points of sale. A gigantic leap from its origins, where Intersolve began by replacing old paper gift checks with digital solutions via cash registers.

Now, with their EMI license from De Nederlandse Bank and recently announced Visa Principal Membership, Intersolve is showing no signs of slowing down. Ready to further their growth, founder and CEO of Intersolve, André Moen has brought in Martijn Hohmann.

"With the arrival of Martijn Hohmann, Intersolve has welcomed a prospective new CEO who will play a significant role in the next phase of growth and internationalization of both the gift card and loyalty market, as well as the embedded finance services surrounding our EMI license. I trust that Martijn is the best candidate to work closely alongside to elevate Intersolve to new heights," André has said regarding the decision.

Hohmann brings with him a wealth of experience in the financial sector, having worked at ABN AMRO and founded Five Degrees which was one of the first Fintechs in the Netherlands that focused on true digital (core) banking. The experience and the entrepreneurial spirit he shares with Moen make him a great match with Intersolve and both parties are eager to start.

Hohmann is looking forward to working together with Moen who will be focused on product innovation and other business development. Hohmann is eager to see Intersolve through the next phase and says, "I am extremely enthusiastic about this collaboration with André and look forward to working together with him to take Intersolve to the next phase. To say I believe in their potential is an understatement. Intersolve is a well oiled machine that has built such a strong foundation based on the synergy between teams and technology. Their license presents significant value for both the commercial and social domain, benefiting not only brands but governments and NGOs as well. We have big plans and ideas for the future but in the next few months my main focus is to familiarize myself with the ins and outs of Intersolve and getting to know the people who have made the company the success it is today.”
