Grufman, who was one of Moonfare’s first hires in 2016, joined the firm as Head of Investments and has since held a number of positions at the company, including Chief Investment Officer. He recently transitioned to overseeing operational projects, reporting to Co-CEO Lorenz Jüngling.

As COO, Grufman will oversee all fund operations, including portfolio management and internal processes such as 'know your client'. He will be a member of Moonfare's Executive Committee, and will remain a standing member of Moonfare's Investment Committee.

“We're proud to be able to create opportunities for exceptional people like Magnus," said founder and Co-CEO Steffen Pauls. "Magnus has a deep-rooted connection to the private equity industry. He is incredibly adept, both operationally and as an investor."

"Flawless operations is a core pillar of Moonfare's value proposition and is challenging to maintain in a period of high growth, which Moonfare is currently experiencing,” said Jüngling. “Magnus is a strong executor, and has an incredible knowledge of Moonfare’s inner workings. He will work with his teams to ensure Moonfare remains a leader in this field.”

Grufman began his career with JP Morgan and later worked for Apax Partners. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a graduate of the Stockholm School of Economics.

The COO role was previously held by Lorenz Jüngling until his promotion late last year to Co-CEO alongside Moonfare's founder, Steffen Pauls.
