Nexi, the European PayTech, now enables merchants in Germany to accept in-person contactless payments seamlessly and securely with Tap to Pay on iPhone, and will continue to expand the availability of Tap to Pay on iPhone to its customers in Europe where the service is available.
This follows the launch of the same functionality from Apple for merchants in Italy at the end of May.
“Enabling the Tap to Pay functionality also for our merchant customers in Germany will provide them with added value and flexibility at the point of sale. This expanded mobile offering will increase the convenience both for merchants and consumers and help further accelerate the adoption of digital payments in Germany,” comments Roberto Catanzaro, Chief Business Officer of Merchant Solutions at Nexi.
