Cahoot scoops visual communications Web award

Abbey National's standalone interactive bank, cahoot, has won the IVCA Biz-Net award for the best business to consumer (transactional) Web site.

The International Visual Communication Association's awards were devised to showcase excellence in Internet and digital innovation. The cahoot Web site, produced by Proxicom, was judged on the quality of content, how well this is delivered and how it is targeted to its audience.

Wayne Drew, from IVCA, emphasises that primary function of winning Web site was transactional. "Cahoot managed to articulate and deliver clearly expressed transactional objectives, and in a way that was an exemplary realisation of an online brand."

Cahoot has a meticulously consistent, well-branded online presence, he says, in which "design was applied effectively and consistently and supported the transaction."
