San Franciso-based card issuer Providian Bancorp Services, has signed an agreement with Accenture for technology application development and maintenance services in an attempt to better its IT service levels.
Under the contract, Providian's enterprise technology group will work with Accenture to improve the performance of its IT operations.
Jim Saber, executive vice president and chief information officer, Providian, says the new contract marks an important step toward the streamlining of the firm's operations infrastructure.
"With this agreement in place, we anticipate reduced costs, more efficient operations, access to an expanded pool of talent, and more flexibility than ever in how we deploy our resources," says Saber.
Providian previously worked with Accenture to upgrade its credit card technology platform, among other initiatives.
