Suzanne McLaughlin has been appointed as Summit's global marketing manager in the UK, replacing Theresa Renaud who was based at the vendor's New York office.

McLaughlin has previously held senior marketing positions at both SmartStream Technologies and decision support vendor, Brainpower.

Andy Sanderson, Summit System's sales and marketing director, says: "By moving this position to London, we will be able to develop even closer ties with Misys Group marketing which is also based here."

Summit has also expanded its sales team with the appointment of SunGard Trading and Risk Systems' Robert Hamilton.

Hamilton held several key positions at SunGard, including sales director Emea for the Infinity suite and senior account manager for the Panorama product.

He was also sales manager for the RIMS back office product before Synopsis was acquired by Misys in 2000.
