Caixa is to issue the Entrust Digital IDs to its 1.4 million online banking customers, enabling them to securely access their saving accounts and execute transactions. The move is in line with a Government mandate for all Brazillian financial institutions to offer PKI-enabled transactions as part of the country's new Electronic Payment System.

Local information security consultancy Modulo Security will work in partnership with Entrust to deliver the solution to Caixa.
