Patsystems strengthens US sales and staffing

UK derivatives trading software vendor Patsystems has strengthened its US team by appointing Dean Giordano as chief operating officer, Larry Beck as sales manager in New York and Kevin Condrin as sales manager in Chicago. The vendor has also promoted Pat Kenny to managing director, North America.

Pat Kenny, who is based in the Chicago office, has headed Patsystems' US sales operations for two years. He says the firm expects further growth both within and beyond US borders: "Three US-based clients who placed orders in the last quarter of 2002 are now distributing our trading systems, and so far this year we have had new orders from two clients."

Giordano joins Patsystems from Strategic Technology Consulting, a company he founded. He has worked in the futures industry since 1992 and has six years experience at the Board of Trade. He will be based at the vendor's Chicago office.

Beck was previously sales manager at Trading Technologies and has also worked as a sales executive and project manager at Securities Dealing Systems.

Condrin was a floor trader for several years and has also worked for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange where he helped member firms and the Exchange's software developers introduce new technology.

The staff changes complete the round of senior management restructuring Patsystems began last year.
