The one day conference and exhibition is scheduled for 6 February, 2001 at the World Trade Center in New York City. Peter Harris, president of Lighthouse Partners, the consultancy staging the event, says: "Sun has been a household name on Wall Street for many years, and clearly Java technology is now centre stage for deployment of applications, such as online trading, straight through processing and risk management."

As well as Sun more than 50 companies will be present at the 2001 Wall Street on Java Technology exhibition, says Harris, including: Appstream, eXcelon, IBM, ILOG, Instinet, Iona Technologies, Persistence Software, Random Walk Computing, SpiritSoft, Tidestone Technologies, WebGain and Wilco Systems.
