Bolero.net, the banking and logistics industry backed online trade finance venture, has appointed Broadvision executive Arthur Vonchek as chief executive, taking over the top seat from incumbent Barry Morse who resigned in March.
Morse, a former Swift executive, has been intimately involved in the Bolero set-up since inception more than seven years ago. He will remain on the board as a non-executive director.
Nicholas Barber, chairman of bolero.net, says: "Now is a good moment for a change at the top."
Vonchek will replace Morse's marketing savvy with a background in e-commerce and international supply chain management. He started Manugistics' non-US activities in 1989, before moving to Spaceworks in 2000. He is currently a senior vice president and member of the executive committee at portal software vendor BroadVision.
