Warsaw Stock Exchange teams with OFI for online funds supermarket

The Warsaw Stock Exchange has teamed with local third party funds distributer OFI - a subsidiary of US-based Forum Financial Group - to launch a Web-based portal dedicated to the Polish investment fund market.

The platform is based on OFI's Web-based mutual fund supermarket application, efund, and features 37 funds managed by seven companies, including Commercial Union, DWS (a member of the Deutsche Bank Group), ING and PKO/Credit Suisse.

Investors can use the portal to open accounts and make transactions online. The information section of the site was jointly developed by OFI and the Warsaw Stock Exchange and provides access to market news, prices for individual funds and their by-laws, prospectuses and financial reports. In addition, the Exchange will post articles, analyses and opinions of experts and other information.

Adam Maciejewski, director, trading, Warsaw Exchange, says: "The Internet is an exceptionally dynamic channel of distribution for diverse products, and we are confident of its potential as a valuable investment and research tool."
