Cable & Wireless has implemented a Frame Relay WAN, IP-LAN, and Centrex Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) system for Lloyds TSB Asset Finance's new flagship office and call centre in Cardiff.
Project management and structured cabling for the project were provided by C&W network infrastructure services group Allnet.
C&W says the new infrastructure will enable the division's 1100 staff in Cardiff to service its network of finance centres and motor dealerships with information efficiently, connecting approximately 5000 business users. The IP-LAN will also result in faster processing of loan applications and quicker access to information for customers.
Hugh Reader, general manager, Lloyds TSB Asset Finance Division, says the new infrastructure will enable the division to operate more efficiently and develop more effective ways to interact with customers and suppliers.
Lloyds TSB Asset Finance says it will work with C&W in the future as it investigates the e-enablement of its entire business communications infrastructure.
