UK-based Card Tech Limited (CTL) has licensed its card and merchant management solution, Prime, and autorisation product, Online, to Egypt's Mediterranean Smart Card Company.
The Mediterranean Smart Card Company, which is 34% owned by Visa, will implement Prime and Online on its chip card platform. The products will deliver card management, authorisation and message switching, initally for Visa Smart Debit/Credit (VSDC) programmes.
CTL says the software can also be used to set up other EMV initiatives as required.
The company is the second in Egypt to license the Prime-Online package.
