The bank has signed a multi-million, three-year media and marketing alliance with AOL Time Warner for the development of the site, which incorporates editorial and entertainment content from publications including CNNMoney.com and Money magazine.

The site includes interactive learning segments, each featuring an entertainment personality, that are themed around personal finance issues such as saving for retirement, paying college fees and managing assets. The bank says new interactive segments will be added later in the year.

ING says the Web site was designed to serve the growing number of consumers who turn first to the Web as a means of personal learning.

Shaun Mathews, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, ING's US Financial Services, adds: "Individuals now want more engagement and have higher expectations - and research clearly shows that consumers want to know more about how to manage their money."
