The system allows users to create, publish, manage and access internal proprietary research information.

Built on a .NET platform, the scalable system provides quick access to both internal information, such as text documents, spreadsheet and presentations, and external data, including real time estimates and research covering over 16,000 public firms from over 850 sources, and historical information on more than 26,000 companies. The platform also includes a Reuters news feed and events from CCBN.

In addition, the Multex 360 integrates internal research management tools, to enable users to personalise research based on topical interests, companies under coverage or holdings.

Isaak Karaev, president, Reuters Investment Banking and Brokerage, says Multex 360 directly addresses the challenges of managing and analysing an overwhelming amount of investment information.

"We are enthusiastic about realising the potential of the combined Multex and Reuters assets including Multex 360 and the soon to be released Reuters Knowledge," he adds.

Reuters acquired the platform when it bought out New York-based Multex in February 2003.
