Bangkok Bank has a 40% share of the credit card market in Thailand and the agreement will result in approximately 50,000 merchants switching to JCB's cards.

The agreement is expected to result in broader cardmember and merchant bases for JCB in Thailand, with greater acceptance and recognition for the JCB brand.

JCB already provides cards services to Bangkok-based Siam Commercial Bank and Aeon Thana Sinsap.
