The service was launched over Thomson Financial's ILX Workstations and Thomson One applications last month.

The XML-based feed will be now be available over the Moneyline Telerate, NewsWare, Wall Street Source and Communicator platforms in the US.

Dow Jones has also signed agreements with Brazillian firms Agencia Estado and Consultoria Metodos, Assessoria e Mercantil (CMA), which plans to use Dow Jones NewsPlus as part of its expansion strategy throughout Latin America.

NewsPlus provides subscribers with Web navigation techniques that eliminate the use of retrieval codes, allowing users to move beyond scrolling headlines to a review of stories, updates, analysis and commentary.

Paul Ingrassia, president of Dow Jones Newswires, says the reaction of customers to the new service has been overwhelmingly positive.

"The addition of these six vendors greatly expands Dow Jones NewsPlus' availability to even more financial professionals," he adds.

Dow Jones says it is also working with other market data distributors to integrate the new XML feed into their platforms or to build a direct link to the service.
