Pathline delivers management and reporting for multi-vendor storage environments that automates processes, including planning, implementing and monitoring.

InterSan says the system will standardise data management across Fidelity's data centres and help manage storage area networks (SANs) by automating areas such as inventory management and device configuration.

Fiedlity will also be able to integrate new technology from multiple vendors into its SANs, and define and enforce policy-based best practices.

Keith Shinn, vice president, Fidelity Investments Systems Company, says: "Through its automation and policy-based management approach, Pathline will help us simplify the management of our network infrastructure and potentially realise cost efficiencies."
