All of the bank's fixed income trading desks now run on Sonaris bonds, which replaced its previous Excel-based pricing system.

Wissam Nabaa, project manager, says Sonaris Bonds provides improved integration between trading desks with regards to pricing and sharing of information internally and with the market.

"We no longer have the overhead of client side loading, which prevailed in our previous Excel based system," he adds.

Commerzbank adds that the system's scalability is helping it run a tighter operation with increased productivity and margins.

Orimos' Sonaris handles European governments, US treasuries, short-term governments, jumbo pfandbriefs, euro and dollar agencies, banks, corporates and emerging market bonds.
