Canada Life recently expanded its presence in Germany by acquiring the business operations of Prudential and will service the new business from Dublin and Neu-Isenburg while using its almost 7000-strong German-based intermediary network for distribution.

The firm will use Fineos' Life Front Office product to provide its sales and service staff based in Dublin, Cologne and Neu-Isenburg with a single view of customer information across all locations and distribution channels.

Ireland-based Fineos says the integrated workflow automation within its solution will create, route and monitor tasks so that service levels are maintained.

Sean Mullarkey, IT manager, Canada Life, says the solution will improve the servicing of policies for staff, customers and brokers.

"The solution already has a huge impact on customer service in our Dublin office for our Irish portfolio and I have no doubt that that level of service will be replicated in Germany," adds Mullarkey.

Fineos says the deal is its first move into the Germany insurance market, which is Europe's largest.
