TDit, the IT division of Toronto-based TD Bank Financial Group, has standardised on the Oracle9i Application Server and is using the portal technology to deliver techncial data and documentation to staff over the Web.
Designed as a single point of interaction to conduct day-to-day business, the portal houses firm-wide information, such as technical advice, company policy and measurement reports.
Data can be customised for each department or level of management and employees can also subscribe to information services and have it delivered to their in-box.
Adam Thackeray, portal administrator and IT analyst, TDit, says the group's employees need timely access to reports and statistics on a daily basis.
"Oracle9i Application Server with portal technology provides a complete set of open, productive, self-service tools with which to build applications to deploy and maintain our enterprise portal environment," he adds.
