Ron Dembo, the founder, president and CEO of Toronto-based Algorithmics, has joined the Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA) blue ribbon panel of advisors.
The panel is comprised of leading figures in risk management and has representatives from professional associations including IAFE, the RMA, ISDA and the EFMA.
It aims to advise the board of PRMIA on its development as a grass-roots professional association, working towards providing a free and open forum for the promotion of sound risk management standards and practices globally.
Seperately, PRMIA has also announced the opening of a local chapter in the Netherlands and appointed Carl Messemaeckers van de Graaff as the first regional director. The chapter, PRMIA's 35th local outpost, expects to host its first meeting for local members in the next month.
