EDB Teamco is to take over responsibility from Telenor for managing the network and operation of NT servers and workstations for 6000 desktops at Norway's DnB Bank.
The new contract supplants an eighteen-month old deal between the bank and suppliers, under which Telenor was handed responsibility for managing DnB's desktop and telephony needs, while EDB Teamco took over the bank's centralised computer operations.
EDB has acquired the desktop business from Telenor for a purchase consideration of Nkr53 million in cash.
Under the revised deal, EDB Teamco's annual billings to DnB will increase by around Nkr120 million, starting from the fourth quarter of 2002. The contract runs until July 2006, with a three-year renewal option.
