SunGard Trading and Risk Systems is to integrate its BancWare solutions with Mortgage Industry Advisory Company's (MIAC) Analytics product.
SunGard says the new alliance will allow financial firms with exposure to secondary marketing activity and retail banking operations to manage enterprise-wide risk using a common data source and unified assumptions.
The BancWare products will provide asset/liability management balance sheet modelling, while the MIAC's Analytics system will value, hedge and measure the price sensitivity of the mortgage pipeline and servicing rights portfolio.
Terence Faherty, president of SunGard's BancWare operating unit, says: "This partnership will provide our clients with the ability to integrate our ALM model with a leading analytical mortgage servicing product. The combination of the two will help clients to have a more complete picture of their balance sheet risk."
