Under the agreement, the companies will co-market a payments processing and authentication software suite to their respective client bases.

Mosaic says the partnership will enable all 200-plus Postilion users to become Verified by Visa and SecureCode compliant. Both schemes require cardholders to enter a password at the point of sale for authentication purposes.

Steve Ryan, vice president, corporate development, Arcot Systems, adds: "By combining Arcot's TransFort solution for Visa's Verified by Visa programme and MasterCard's SecureCode programme with Mosaic Software's Postilion payment software, we will provide a robust approach to enhance the security of online payments for merchants, acquirers, issuers and processors."
