Athens-based Alpha Bank has implemented CardinalCommerce's Verified by Visa payment authentication platform for its card issuing and transaction acquiring business.
Alpha Bank - the official bank of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and the acquirer for the 2004 Olympic ticket sales Website - says it is the first bank in Greece to offer Verfied by Visa online authentication.
CardinalCommerce recently formed a consortium with several partners, including Alpha Bank card processor Delta Singular, WorldWide Trust and Safe3w, to market online secure payment solutions in Europe.
Delta Singular will partner CardinalCommerce to implement the MasterCard SecureCode authentication system for the bank in the near future.
