Germany-based Softpro has joined forces with Interlink Electronics to provide an e-signature banking solution for biometrically verifying handwritten documents.
Softpro says its SignPlus e-signature software can be integrated with Interlink's ePad product to enable financial firms to move from paper-based authentication methods to automated biometric signature verification.
Frank Fuchs, CTO of Softpro, says: "This upgrade not only allows for the electronic capture of handwritten signatures but the biometric verification of each signature and a substantially higher level of security."
Softpro adds that Interlink's ePad can also be used with its SignPro application to automate the signing, processing and storage of documents.
"The result is a biometrically-secure document automation system where electronic documents can be legally signed in such a way that the e-signature cannot be altered, copied or removed without invalidating the document," adds Fuchs.
