African Banking Corporation (ABC) is to implement i-flex's Flexcube universal banking solution for its general ledger, treasury and trade finance processing.
India-based i-flex says it will also provide business process re-engineering services to the bank.
ABC has already automated its unit trust operations using Flexcube investor services software and is in the process of implementing a pre-architected Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solution using i-flex's business intelligence platform Reveleus.
Lieb Vermeulen, chief information officer, ABC, says: "We were impressed by the efficiency they (i-flex) demonstrated while implementing Flexcube investor services and the ongoing rollout of Reveleus, which led us to extend our engagement with them."
I-flex says the applications will be deployed centrally and accessed across Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Mozambique and Malawi.
The company has had a strong presence in Africa for the last decade, providing technology to over 100 customers.
