Financial information software vendor Fiserv has appointed Norm Balthasar to the newly created position of senior executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Balthasar, part of the management team at the founding of Fiserv in 1984, was most recently president and COO of the Fiserv Financial Institution Group.
He will join Fiserv Executive Committee and all operating group presidents will report directly to him.
The company has also created four new operating groups from its former Financial Institution Group and has promoted division presidents to lead them.
Promotions include: Rodney Poskochil, president, bank systems and eProducts group; Pat Foy, president, bank servicing group; James Puzniak, president, lending systems and services group; Ken Acheson, president, item processing group; and Doug Craft, senior vice president and group chief financial officer.
All will join the Fiserv Management Committee.
