Swiss bank UBS has implemented Vignette Web content management software to build "myUBS," its personalised customer information portal and company intranet.
In building the portal, UBS used Vignette's software to integrate back-office systems and modify and increase the size of its Web offering to cope with rising traffic to the site.
The bank has also launched a new intranet presence, called WIP (Web Information Platform), to meet the growing corporate information needs of UBS Switzerland, its subsidiary, Private Banking Switzerland, and its international divisions. Previously there had been a number of intranets running on a variety of publishing platforms. The move to Vignette has enabled the bank to consolidate on a single platform to reduce administration and maintenance costs.
