HBOS to manage marketing with Unica's Affinium

UK banking group HBOS is to deploy Unica's multi-channel customer interaction and campaign management software Affinium.

HBOS, formed from the merger of the Bank of Scotland and the Halifax, will implement the system across its joint customer bases, which currently total 20 million customers.

In addition to managing marketing initiatives across mail, email and call centre, the solution will be used to provide sales-based information to customer-facing employees.

Curt Bloom, managing director, EMEA, Unica, says: "Given the number of campaigns HBOS runs every month, it needed a solution that could scale to handle its growing customer base, increase marketing communications and more sophisticated campaigns."

HBOS currently runs over a hundred marketing campaigns a month. Affinium will initially be used by 20 marketing personnel to run multi-channel campaigns from its retail bank sites in Halifax and Chester.
