Standard & Poor’s has upgraded its RatingsDirect Web-based service to provide new user-friendly functionality and faster access to credit risk data.
RatingsDirect version 3.0 provides instant access to the complete Standard & Poor's ratings database, including ratings actions, rationales, research, commentaries, full analyses and performance data for credit risk analysis. Coverage includes more than 8 million ratings, 290,000 issues and 150,000 reports spanning a range of sectors - corporate, financial institutions, insurance, public finance, sovereigns, structured finance and utilities.
New features of the service include upgraded search tools enabling users to locate information by region, country, sector, issuer name, financial instrument, CUSIP, CINS, ISIN, ratings range, rating-date range, and keyword or phrase. Search results are viewed in order of relevancy of targeted information.
Users can also customise their browser interface to view just-published research by issuers in clients’ portfolios or by rating action type.
Peter Fiore, vice president of product and market management, Standard & Poor’s, says: "RatingsDirect 3.0 enables fixed income industry professionals to effectively and efficiently analyse only data relevant to their needs, providing them more time to manage their client’s interests."
