Payments industry stalwarts ACI Worldwide and MasterCard have come together to launch "Mastercard Smart Solutions", a programme to help banks adopt smart card technology into their business applications.
ACI is to be the solution supplier for the programme, providing the necessary software, integration services, project management, consultation and training for business requirements.
Art Kranzley, senior vice president, electronic commerce and emerging technologies, MasterCard International says the programme will aim to help banks develop chip card solutions that differentiate them in the marketplace. ACI's offerings can support a diverse range of multi-application services and programmes - from mobile, loyalty, authorisation and access control to Mondex.
