UK private client broker Brewin Dolphin has gone live with SmartStream Technologies reconciliations and exceptions management package.
The SmartStream product replaces an inhouse system and moves the reconciliation of cash, securities holdings and transactions at the broker to a single integrated database.
Brewin Dolphin's chief operating officer, Simon Still, comments: "Market forces dictate that we have to process our transactions at a much faster rate than in the past. In order to do this effectively we needed a system that could deliver both competitive matching rates and early warnings of slow-to-settle transactions."
He says the automated referral of DKs to the investigations area was a key factor in the purchasing decision, as it will significantly reduce the time taken to resolve exceptions.
