NetSymbols is a modular banking solution that offers multi-channel capabilities through an Internet-based platform, says the company.

Under the agreement, the Latvian bank will initially roll out netSymbols' eFinance, ePlatform and eCRM modules to compliment its existing System Access core banking system, Symbols.

Andris Berzins, president of Latvijas Unibanka, says: "With a growing customer base, we needed to facilitate online real-time processing capabilities to meet and exceed our customer needs and expectations. The netSymbols solution provides us with the ability to achieve seamless vertical and horizontal integration in application and data through a single integrated system, across multi delivery channels."

Latvijas Unibanka is a wholly owned subsidiary of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) of Sweden. The bank has over 70 branches, 1200 employees and 400,000 customers of which 63,000 are e-banking customers.
