Aon advances claims processing with August

The Advance solution will enable Aon to electronically share documents with underwriters and other parties involved in the claims management process, in line with guidelines set out by the LMP (London Market Principles) programme.

Access to the documents will be controlled with a secure password system ensuring that editing rights and confidential information is not available to unauthorised users. Underwriters will also receive electronic updates whenever additional supporting documentation is lodged.

All movements within the folder-based solution are supported by a comprehensive audit trail. Advance will automatically link to Aon's document management system developed by August using their augAniser product, which is connected to FileNET document management and workflow tools.

The Advance system will be managed by August and hosted by its partner, Digex. The solution will be piloted over the next three months by selected divisions within Aon to work with markets in both London and overseas.
