US-based banking technology vendor Magnet Communications has appointed David McCampbell and Bob Augestad to the newly created positions of chief technology officer and chief quality officer, respectively. Both will also be made senior vice presidents.
As chief technology officer, McCampbell will oversee software development, hosted services, security and administration, Web services and installations, and corporate information technology (IT). His primary focus will be to improve the delivery of Magnet's Web-based cash management solutions for in-house and hosted services customers.
In his role as chief quality officer, Augestad will be responsible for product support, technical support, training and quality assurance. He is charged with optimising internal business processes and interdepartmental communications. Immediate projects include upgrading Magnet's WebCentral customer service site and further automating the testing processes for Magnet's software products.
Magnet offers a suite of integrated cash management applications enabling financial institutions to target multiple customer segments from a single platform with customised cash management services.
