Multex.com has added corporate guidance figures to its buy-side investment information platform MultexNET.
The corporate guidance numbers and ranges will allow institutional investors to see analysts' estimates versus a company's own guidance on the coming quarter and year. A historical record of the company's previous guidance is also readily accessible to give users a more transparent look into a firm's business practices, says the company.
Multex's new company guidance figures are compiled by analysts who screen through press releases issued by over 9,300 US publicly traded companies to highlight significant events that may affect current or future operations. These announcements include acquisitions, new products, joint ventures, strategic alliances, structural reorganisations, earnings guidance, SEC investigations, accounting inquiries, and stock buybacks.
