European software house SAP has published its 'top ten tips' to help UK building societies streamline their business processes.
The guide is targeted towards the many building societies who lag behind their banking counterparts in their integration of legacy systems and are still not using Web and portal technology to overcome information management issues, says SAP.
"The majority of building societies have a number of in-house legacy systems that are not linked, meaning information-sharing is ineffective," says Ian Anderson, financial services business consultant at SAP UK.
The document includes tips on how organisations can collaborate better with partners and increase income by up- and cross-selling. In addition, SAP advises how to share information efficiently and create focused and informed management teams.
