Activebank2 is billed as a fully integrated front-to-back office solution supporting treasury and capital markets, lending, retail banking, messaging and payments, general ledger and Internet banking.

The component-based banking solution enables users to see all customer activity across a range of delivery channels in a single view, says the vendor. The product also incorporates future technologies such as instant messaging, alerting technology and video/voice conversations.

David Slight, financial services industry manager, Microsoft UK, says: "activebank2 provides institutions with all of the technology and business benefits .NET was designed to offer."

The XML-based solution can be deployed via an ASP.NET user interface, which can be supported by browser, PDA, WAP and iDTV.
