Manulife Bank of Canada is rolling out a new account aggregation service to its Internet banking clients.
The Secure View service uses technology from OnX Enterprise Solutions to allow customers to consolidate their online account balance information from various financial institutions in a secure environment. Customers can access their aggregated account information using a single password.
In contrast to many other account aggregation services which store client information on a centralised server, Secure Viewwhich uses 128-bit encryption to download all data from various financial institutions to the customer's computer where it is then stored, says the company.
