MMS brings applications such as e-mail, video and audio download, animated graphics and electronic card and picture exchange to mobile device users.

Using Logica's Multimedia Messaging Service Centre and Macalla's Alert Managment System, the companies are delivering live stock quotes using supporting performance graphs and new services as well as portfolio information on stand 1427 at the show.

Niall O'Cleirigh, CEO Macalla Software, says: "We believe the introduction of MMS supporting rich financial content will be an attractive service for mobile operators to offer to their customers and will also assist in the path to enabling the mobile device as a secure payment mechanism."
