Nordea has replaced its existing database administration tools with CA's Unicentre database management suite on both the z/OS and OS/390 mainframes used across the bank's IT network.

Kjeld Fenger, project manager for internal infrastructure projects at Nordea-IT in Denmark, comments: "We are standardising on CA's Unicenter database administration tools for DB2 because they provide significant cost savings and superior automation when compared with the solutions we previously had in place."

The bank has also deployed CA's Unicenter CA-Sysyview Realtime Performance Management solution to enable system administrators to analyse z/OS and OS/390 performance across all applications in order to ensure system availability and optimise service levels.
