Unisys has entered an agreement to market and support Arcot's TransFort authentication product to Visa financial institutions and card processors worldwide.
Under terms of the agreement, Unisys will sell the service globally, distribute the Arcot TransFort product to end users, and provide configuration, deployment, and support services.
The alliance will target financial institutions and card processors implementing the Verified by Visa Internet payment authentication programme, under which card issuers will bear the liability for online card fraud.
Arcot's TransFort real-time authentication solution is designed to enable Visa member banks and card issuers to validate the cardholder's identity during an online transaction.
John Joly, director, global card program, Unisys, comments: "This program will be crucial to our card-issuing customers. They have an immediate need for a fast and reliable implementation of this service."
