Oslo Børs further postpones Saxess launch date

Oslo Børs is to further postpone the introduction of the OM-supplied Saxess trading system until Easter, following delays in testing of the platform.

In May 2001, the Scandinavian exchanges announced they would hold off the launch of the new order-driven trading platform until after the summer, amid growing worries about "serious performance problems" in the dealer system.

Nine months on, the Saxess launch has still not taken place, and it now looks increasingly lilely that full-scale roll out of the system will take place almost a year later than originally planned.

The date of the first trading day for Saxess will be released as soon as it is decided, says the Oslo Børs.
