Under the agreement with Amex, the US options exchange will implement a range of applications developed offshore by i-flex, including a members tracking system and ticker plant software. The contract also calls for i-flex to re-engineer and manage the exchange's two Web sites: www.amex.com and www.amextrader.com.

I-flex will additionally provide Amex with strategic consulting services for data warehousing, and has formulated a five-year plan encompassing the areas of surveillance, risk management, data consolidation and data mining.

The Indian company, which currently employs 2000 staff worldwide, has also established a US operations base, with headquarters in New York City and regional offices in San Francisco, Boston, and Parsippany. Alongside the American Stock Exchange, i-flex has a major contract with Citibank for the international roll-out of the vendor's Flexcube corporate banking solution.
