Systems integration vendor Iona has appointed Gary Maier as managing director and head of financical services.
In his new role, Maier will oversee the company's financial services operations, including business development, sales, marketing, alliances, engineering and product management. He will be based at the company's New York offices and report to Bob Potter Iona executive vp of business operations.
Most recently, Maier was the founder and CEO of PICASOnet (Pluggable Internet Component and Services Objects), a Web services product and consulting firm in New York. He has also held senior positions at KPMG and BlackRock Financial Management.
