The newspaper report says Bloomberg is to give a deposition on Friday as part of a long-running legal battle resulting from a lawsuit filed by Bloomberg in a Manhattan court which accuses architect Alan Feltoon of being part of a scheme to embezzle money from the business. Feltoon denies the charges.

Feltoon's lawyers have successfully forced Bloomberg to face questioning, as they seek to argue that he was such a hands-on manager he was aware of everything their client did, writes the paper.

Bloomberg's office has confirmed that he will be required to give testimony but says it will largely relate to the fraud case and that the deposition may not be made public.
