Barclays Stockbrokers has gone live with a new Web site displaying tailored research for private investors.
The new site includes investment research from the bank's internal experts, with regular updates on over 130 top stocks and a daily market report.
Users can access feeds to the latest market news, indices and real-time quotes, as well as the Barclays Stockbrokers Funds Market - which offers Standard & Poor's research and star ratings.
A Price Improver tool identifies the most competitive price available for a given stock, giving investors the chance to beat the price displayed by the London Stock Exchange.
Lisa Freeman, project manager for the new Web site, says: "Our client feedback on the site is excellent. More than 90% said that they would recommend it to a friend.”
Barclays Stockbrokers is also reporting that new clients registering with its ShareDeal Plus online service will be entitled to commission free dealing until 31 March, 2002.
