HSBC Holdings has signed a $1.3 million amended license agreement with Dallas-based uniView Technologies to access object and source code for its CIMphony computer telephony integration product.

The agreement grants a perpetual license to HSBC to use, execute, display, perform, modify and create derivative works, and to internally distribute and reproduce the licensed software. In addition, certain staff who have been assigned to manage and maintain the HSBC contract will be offered positions within HSBC.

CIMphony, is a client/server; open architecture tool kit designed to support single site and geographically distributed call centers from 10-4000+ agents. The product is bundled with a suite of applications providing screen pop, graphical reporting, outbound predictive dialing, statistical data collection, Internet contact centre capabilities, and attribute-based routing.

Key customers include HSBC, British Bank of the Middle East, Banco De Costa Rica, Lexis-Nexis, AT&T Broadband and Cable & Wireless.
